Bilingual Series: Queer poetry in New York

Barco de Papel Cultural Center began a series of queer-themed literature and theater events in our county on December 9, 2018; the first presentation of this series was moderated by Lourdes Simón. Opened the series the poets Raquel Abend Van Dalen, Manuel Adrián López and Ricardo Hernández. Their work seek to go beyond the timid exploration of the theme of eroticism and they use as poetic motifs masculinity, femininity and the homosexuality. After the reading the participants and attendees shared their literary and personal experiences in  an open forum. This event was funded in part by Poets & Writers with public funds from the New York State Council with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
